Ogbe funfun nini babalawo Aje
Lo dífá fún Aje
Aje n ti orun bọ wa sáyé
Ẹbọ lawo ní kó ṣe
O gbẹbọ n be o rubo
Aje De Oniso
O ba fi Iso sí ilé awo
Aje dagbaso
Eni ajé bọ lọwọ rẹ dáràn.
Translation:
Ogbefunfunnini Babalawo aje
Cast divination for aje
When aje was coming to earth
His awo asked him to offer ebo
He heeded and offered ebo
Aje is here, Oniso
Perhaps you should visit the awo’s home
Aje is now grown
Whoever loses aje is in trouble
Message:
Ifa says that whoever this divination is cast for will be immensely blessed by Ifa. Ifa further says that this person needs to propitiate the orisha of aje by offering ebo to the orisa. This person is to offer ebo to orisaaje with: ekuru, akara (bean cakes) eggs, oyin (honey), bananas and pigeon. Once this is done, this person will never be in lack again as orisaaje will start dwelling in this person’s household.
History:
In times past, Aje (money/wealth) was one of the numerous messengers of Olodumare. It happened that then, the people on earth had no monetary system of buying and selling. They traded by barter. Aje then decided to leave heaven for earth, but before going, he approached his awo letting them know that once he gets to earth, he wants to be sought after by all and sundry. His awo asked him to offer ebo to back up his desires, which he did. Then, esu went to meet the people of the world that they should stop trading by barter and advised them to start using money (aje) to exchange values. Ever since then, people of the world have been spending money as exchange for the value of goods and services.

Verse:
Atabatubu fiye wẹ
A difa fún Orunmila
Baba yó ṣe nkan banta-banta sí ilé aye
Ọmọ rẹ kò ni le jẹ tan
Ẹbọ lawo ní kí o ṣe
O gbẹbọ n be o rú’bọ
Ifa fi aje wẹ mi
Ki o fi iyẹ we
Atabatubu — f’iyẹ wẹ
Ifa fi Aya, Ọmọ, Ile, Ọkọ, Ire gbogbo wẹ mi

Translation:
Atabatubu fiye wẹ
Cast divination for Orunmila
When he was going to embark on a capital project on earth
That not even his kids can solely enjoy the dividends
He was asked to offer ebo
He heeded and offered the ebo
Ifa, bless me with wealth

Ifa, bless me with: wives, children, houses, cars and all-round blessings

Message:
Ifa says that this person will receive immense blessings this year to the point of leaving a great inheritance for his children by the time he is dead. Ifa says this person needs to offer ebo for the sake of his future wellbeing and wealth. Ifa is saying to this person that all his blessings are nowhere else except with Ifa, therefore he must always submit his supplications to Ifa to get anything he wants. Ifa says the person must offer ebo with a lot of Iyerosun and he must also thoroughly bathe with Iyerosun. Ifa says this person must offer ebo with 2 rats, 2 fishes, 2 hens and a goat. Ifa says that all his blessings this year will manifest.
History:
Orunmila was Olodumare’s emissary to earth. When he was coming, he asked Olodumare to give him everything so that whoever asks him for anything will get instant approval to their request. Orunmila was asked to offer ebo so his request to olodumare will be approved. He did as instructed. When Orunmila got to earth, whenever his followers needed anything, they will offer ebo to him. Once their bodies touch Orunmila’sIyerosun (divination powder), they always got instant approval to their request.

Ogbe fún teyin-teyin
Moriwo ọpẹ kanle ko roke
A difa fún Alare -sisa
Eyi ti eko n menu ba loganjo
Ẹbọ isegun lawo ní kó ṣe
O gbẹbọ n be o rú’bọ
Nje t’eru ba fẹnu kan eko
Ti eko ba f’enu kan eeru
Ẹkọ a kanu ko.
Translation:
Ogbe fún teyin-teyin
Once palm frond falls, it can no longer go up
Cast divination for Alare-sisa
That’s being plagued by eko
He was asked to offer ebo for victory
He heeded and offered the ebo
Behold, once eko licks ashes
Or ashes touch eko’s mouth
That’s the day eko becomes defeated
Message:
Ifa says that this person has to offer ebo for victory. Ifa says there is someone very close to this person who appears as a friend, but in the real sense, the person is responsible for the attacks and disappointments in the life of the person whom this divination is cast for. Ifa further warns that henceforth, this person should no longer share his news with that his supposed friend. Also, this person has to offer ebo with salt, ashes and a billy goat. Ifa says once this is done, he will soon reveal the identity of the enemy posing as a friend. That in fact, very soon, the friendly enemy will die because of his bad deeds. Ifa says this person should be wary of keeping friends.
History:
Alare-sisa, in times past, was always having terrifying dreams that constantly unsettled him. When it was too much for him to bear, he went to his awo to seek counsel. Meanwhile, he had a friend — Eko — that he always ran everything by. Alare-sisa was asked to offer ebo with salt, ashes, and a billy goat. The ashes and salt will be prayed upon and sprinkled around Alare-sisa’s house. He was told that once this is done, the cover of whoever comes to Alare-sisa’s house to perpetrate evil in the midnight will be blown. He did as he was told. In the midnight that eko sneakily went to Alare sisa’s house as usual to do evil, he came in contact with salt and ashes, two things that Eko is forbidden to come in contact with. That was how eko died after the salt cut its body into pieces. When Alare-sisa woke up the next day to see the corpse of his friend, eko, he then realised what had been happening for so long. Alare-sisa became free from captivity afterward; he started praising his awo, and they were praising Ifa in return.

Aje n yọ lodi
Ẹ sọ wa ba awo
Eefin taaba
iifa yo lodi

Translation:
Any household I enter, money starts dwelling there
Any path I take will become a pathway for many people
Any household I enter with laughter
Money and children will dwell in that house
Cast divination for Amutabala
Who was living in bondage
His awo asked him to offer ebo
He heeded and offered ebo
Wealth coming from afar
Come dwell in awo’s household
The flames of Tobacco
Bring opportunities right into my household
Message:
Ifa says that the person with this divination is undergoing a lot of problems. But every of his problems will be solved this year if he can offer ebo to Ifa. Ifa says that this person needs to offer Tobacco as ebo. Whenever he is offering ebo, he must be smoking tobacco or cigarettes. He will also offer rat, fish, and hen as ebo; and whenever he starts smoking tobacco, all-round goodness will locate him.
History:
Amutaba was greatly distressed in times past. This is because despite being hardworking, there was little or nothing he could show for his hard work. He approached his Babalawo for a solution to his problem and he was told that he needed to offer ebo. He was further told that the emissaries Olodumare sent to him had been looking for him since, but they could not locate him. Therefore, whenever he smokes during the time, he is offering ebo, the scent of tobacco will direct all his blessings to his abode. Amutaba did as he was told and immediately he started smoking tobacco, the emissaries from heaven, led by wealth (aje) were able to locate Amutaba and that was they started dwelling in his abode, changing the story of Amutaba around for good.

Ogbe f’ohun folohun Awo Oba
Lo difa fún Oba
Oun sunkun alailenikan
Ẹbọ lawó ni ko se
O gbẹbọ n be o rubo
Awa ti a jeru oba da
Awa re ooo hehe
Translation:
Ogbef’ohunfolohun
It’s Oba’s awo that cast divination for Oba
When Oba had no pillar of support
His awo asked him to offer Ebo
He heeded and offered the ebo
Where are those of us who ate from the Oba’s Iru?
Here we are!
Message:
Ifa says that this person should offer ebo so he can become someone everybody will be looking up to this year. He will become sought after by all and sundry and his wealth will cut across borders.
History:
In times past, Kings were always lonely in their palaces after their ascension to the throne. One particular king was fed up with being lonely, so he approached his awo for a solution. There and then, his awo asked him to offer ebo with a lot of locust beans (iru). Oba was asked to throw a feast and make use of a lot of iru for the food’s preparation. Oba did as he was told and threw a big party. The aroma of the feast, especially the Iru flavor, endeared many people from far and near to Oba’s palace. After the feast, the attendees asked Oba what the occasion was. He replied by saying there was no occasion. He was just being bored of living a lonely life in the palace. That day, all the attendees committed to becoming the king’s slaves that day, having wined and dined with him. That was how kings started having slaves in their palaces attending to sundry needs in and out of the palace.
