If you are conversant with the trends on social media, there is a high chance that you have come across the famous group of ‘tech bros’ on Twitter NG. NGL (Not Gonna Lie), Tech Bros are so sleek and rich.

Tech bros are the typical rich kids on social media, especially on Twitter, who made their millions during the tech boom. Many of them work as software engineers, product managers, product designers, and UI/UX designers for tech companies both in Nigeria and abroad, earning mostly in foreign currencies and living the good life.

By their dreadlocks, Mac Laptops, iPhone 12–14 models, Crypto investments, mentorship/internship programmes, and their big tech-disruption talks on the TL, you shall know them.

But these factors alone aren’t the reason they are popular on social media. Why they are popular on social media is the fact that they are the only category of people who earn in foreign currencies and are subtly given the public approval to do so, unlike the popular internet fraudsters (Yahoo boys) who are held in high disregard by the public.

In a country where the cost of living is high and threatening the lives of the living, learning a global skill in-demand, and having multiple streams of income is the way to go about survival. Many of these celebrated tech bros saw the opportunities tech offered some 5–10 years ago, and they did not let it slip. Their commitment to learning the available tech skills then is what is paying off now; making them thrive during scarcity.

Deep down, everyone wants to go into tech to start earning dollars. Many are interested in enrolling for tech internship and mentorship programmes where they’d begin their tech journey. Others are already in tech but are looking to upskill. Not to worry, Google Developers’ Group (GDG), is here to the rescue.

From June 10-August 26, 2023, you can join GDG Ajah’s Data Structure and Algorithms Bootcamp. It’s a 3-month, virtual bootcamp that runs for 12 Saturdays between 4PM and 6PM WAT.

The facilitators are well trained and seasoned experts in the Technology space with wealth of experiences spanning across multiple big tech firms and industries.

At the end of the 3-month bootcamp, you would have been armed with the requisite knowledge that is required to refine your existing tech skills and work towards becoming the next big shot in tech, bridging the gap in the ecosystem and proffering long-lasting solutions to generational issues.

Talk about being the next big tech bro that everybody wants to associate with.

Thrilling, isn’t it?

Get started here.
